Two Windows apps: the Agent on the PC you want to control, and the Controller on the device you connect from.

RemoteWorking Agent

Install it on the work PC you want to control remotely. It stays in the system tray and keeps the connection to the server. The first time you open it you only need to enter your sign-in credentials; from then on it starts automatically with Windows.

RemoteWorking Controller

Install it on the device you connect from (your home PC). It lists your computers and, with one click, opens their remote desktop through the server. The first time you open it you only need to enter your sign-in credentials.

🛡️ Browser security warnings — how to resolve them When downloading an .exe file, your browser or Windows may show a security warning. This is completely normal for any desktop application, even the most popular ones, and does not mean the file is dangerous.

When downloading (Chrome / Edge):

  1. If you see "Couldn't download securely", click the three dots ··· next to the download.
  2. Choose "Keep" or "Download anyway".
  3. If the browser asks for extra confirmation, click "Download anyway" again.
  4. The installer will be saved to your Downloads folder, ready to run.

When running the installer (Windows SmartScreen):

  1. If the blue "Windows protected your PC" / "Unknown publisher" window appears, click "More info" (underlined blue text).
  2. Click the "Run anyway" button.
  3. Installation will continue normally.

SmartScreen shows this warning to apps that do not yet have enough download history: it is a reputation system, not an actual security scan of the file.
